Terms of service.

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with The Native Girl (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accepting a quote, paying a deposit, or proceeding with our services, you agree to the following terms.

1. Our Process

  • Client enquiry is submitted via our website or email.

  • A consultation form is issued and must be completed by the client.

  • An initial quote is prepared based on the information provided.

  • A $100 consultation and design fee applies to the preparation of a personalised wedding or event quote. This fee covers design time, sourcing considerations, and quote preparation. Where you proceed with a booking, the $100 fee will be deducted from your final invoice. This fee is non-refundable.

  • An obligation-free phone consultation may be scheduled to refine scope, style, and budget.

  • A non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your date.

  • A pre-event consultation is held approximately six (6) weeks prior to the event to confirm details.

  • Final balance is due four (4) weeks prior to the event date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

All timelines are indicative only and may vary depending on client responsiveness, supplier availability, or circumstances beyond our control.

2. Quotes & Validity

  • Quotes are valid for thirty (30) days unless stated otherwise.

  • Quotes are based on seasonal availability, current wholesale pricing, and the information supplied at the time of quoting.

  • A $100 consultation and design fee applies to the preparation of all personalised quotes. This fee is payable regardless of whether you proceed with a booking and is credited toward your final invoice if a booking is confirmed.

  • Quotes are estimates only until final payment is made. Quantities, sizes, and flower varieties may vary slightly due to the natural variability of floral products.

  • Where bookings are made more than six (6) months in advance, pricing may be reviewed closer to the event due to market fluctuations. Any changes will be discussed prior to confirmation.

3. Bookings & Payments

  • A $500 non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your event date. No dates are held without payment.

  • We do not accept tentative bookings.

  • Final payment is due four (4) weeks prior to the event date. Failure to pay may result in suspension or non-delivery of services.

  • Payment plans may be arranged by request and must be agreed to in writing.

  • Accepted payment methods will be advised on your invoice. Any payment processing or bank fees may be passed on.

  • Late payments may incur interest and/or administrative fees.

  • All prices are in AUD and inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.

4. Sole Florist Clause

The Native Girl operates under a sole florist policy. By booking our services, you agree that we will be the only florist providing floral design and styling for your event, unless prior written approval has been given.

This policy exists to ensure: - Consistency and cohesion across all floral elements - Quality control aligned with our portfolio and reputation - Responsible sourcing, minimal waste, and alignment with our sustainability values

Breach of this policy may result in refusal to install florals or limitation of services without refund.

We are always happy to work with you to design a floral plan that suits your vision and budget without the need for additional floral contributors.

5. Substitutions & Seasonal Availability

  • We design to a colour palette, style, and overall aesthetic rather than guaranteeing specific flower varieties.

  • Photographs, inspiration images, and sample flowers are indicative only and not a guarantee of exact replication.

  • Flowers are natural and perishable products. Availability may change due to weather, seasonal conditions, or supply issues.

  • Where substitutions are required, we will use suitable alternatives that align with the agreed design. We will communicate significant changes where possible.

6. Sustainability & Ethical Sourcing

The Native Girl prioritises environmentally responsible practices. This includes: - Sourcing from local and seasonal growers wherever possible - Minimising floral waste through considered design and mechanics - Avoiding floral foam where alternatives are available

By booking our services, you acknowledge and agree that sustainability considerations may influence flower selection, mechanics, and design outcomes. Sustainability‑led decisions, including the use or non‑use of certain materials or products, do not constitute a failure to deliver the services where the overall agreed style, quality, and scope are met.

7. Changes & Variations

  • Any changes to your order must be requested in writing no later than four (4) weeks prior to the event date.

  • Changes requested after this time are at our discretion and subject to availability.

  • Increases in scope, quantities, or complexity will incur additional fees and may require an updated invoice.

  • Reductions of up to fifteen percent (15%) of the total quote may be permitted prior to the four-week cut-off. Larger reductions may incur charges.

  • Any items cancelled within four (4) weeks of the event remain payable in full.

8. Cancellations & Date Changes

  • The booking fee is non-refundable in all circumstances.

  • Cancellations must be provided in writing via email.

  • Cancellations within four (4) weeks of the event date are payable in full.

  • Date changes must be requested at least three (3) months prior and are subject to availability. New dates must fall within twelve (12) months of the original booking.

  • Pricing may vary due to seasonality and market conditions.

9. Delivery, Setup & Risk

  • Venue details, access times, and bump-in requirements must be confirmed no later than one (1) week prior to the event.

  • Risk in the florals passes to the client upon delivery and/or completion of setup.

  • We are not responsible for damage caused after delivery, including weather, guests, venue staff, or third-party handling.

  • We are not responsible for venue-imposed restrictions, access limitations, or the removal or relocation of installations by others.

10. Photography & Marketing

  • You grant permission for The Native Girl to photograph our work and use images for marketing purposes, including social media, website, and publications.

  • We will not publish imagery prior to the commencement of your event.

  • All suppliers will be credited where possible.

  • Clients may request a marketing opt-out in writing prior to the event date.

11. Client Responsibilities

You agree to: - Provide accurate and timely information - Respond to requests within a reasonable timeframe - Provide accurate guest numbers, table counts, floor plans, and schedules - Obtain all necessary venue permissions for installations - Provide suitable access, parking, and delivery conditions

Failure to provide accurate or timely information may result in additional fees, delays, or limitations to services.

12. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to statutory guarantees that services will be provided with due care and skill and will be reasonably fit for their intended purpose.

Where a failure to comply with the ACL is established, remedies will be provided in accordance with the ACL and may include re-supply of services or a refund, as applicable. Due to the nature of event floristry, any issues must be raised immediately on the event date to allow a reasonable opportunity to assess and, where possible, remedy the issue.

13. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: - Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the services - We are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss - We are not liable for issues caused by venue restrictions, weather conditions, or third-party actions

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where such liability cannot be excluded under law.

14. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform services due to events beyond our control, including extreme weather, government restrictions, pandemics, or supplier failure. Rescheduling is not guaranteed. Costs incurred up to the time of the Force Majeure Event remain payable, and refunds are limited to amounts not already incurred.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

16. Agreement

By accepting our quote or paying the booking fee, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The version in force at the time of booking will apply.
